COVID-19 Practices
I strongly believe that transparent and thorough Covid precautions are a critical element in minimizing risk to my clients, keeping myself well, and standing in support and solidarity with disabled and immunocompromised communities. This means I am still upholding Covid safety precautions above and beyond CDC recommendations.
When determining my precautions for decreasing risk to myself and others, I acknowledge that vaccines, quality filter masks, physical distance, limiting number of contacts, frequent testing and self-initiated contact tracing are all important components for holistic and reliable precautions for individuals and communities.
Here's a quick review of my approach:
My Personal Protocols
- 2 Initial Covid vaccinations and ongoing updated annual vaccines. Most recently 2024/2025 Moderna and Annual Flu vaccine in Sept 2024
- 1 MPV vaccine received 9/21/22
- Masking (with N95, KN95 or P100 respirator) while in shared indoor spaces and in public outdoor spaces
- In a germ pod (not masking) with 4 people whose precautions align with mine
- Occasional unmasking with people after they have also following the masking guidelines above for 3+ days with rapid testing before unmasking together
- Home testing at minimum once a week
- Daily self-screening of symptoms, PCR test and additional rapid testing when any symptoms are present
- If anyone in my household or recent physical contacts is experiencing any symptoms or tests positive, we will reschedule any in person hours and I will be tested before returning
I am happy to speak about this more individually, and I thank you for helping keep our community safe.
